Physicochemical Properties: Bluish-purple powder, easily soluble in water (50 g/L at 90°C), soluble in ethanol. In concentrated sulfuric acid, it appears orange, turning pale yellow upon dilution. The aqueous solution is greenish-blue, turning nearly colorless with sodium hydroxide solution (with deep purple precipitation).
Applications: Used for dyeing and printing wool, silk, nylon, and wool blends. Also serves as a food dye, organic pigment, paper colorant, and leather colorant. Applied in sanitation fields.
