Physicochemical Properties: Reddish-brown powder. Soluble in water (golden orange), slightly soluble in ethanol. The dye solution forms yellowish-olive precipitates with hydrochloric acid and brownish-orange precipitates with sodium hydroxide. Slightly sensitive to hard water.

Applications: Mainly used for dyeing and printing viscose and rayon fabrics. Suitable for direct printing and discharge printing. Also used for silk dyeing with acetic acid or formic acid. Can be combined with disperse dyes for polyester/viscose blends. Suitable for paper and leather coloring.
