Physicochemical Properties: Reddish-brown powder. Soluble in water (reddish-brown), slightly soluble in ethanol (orange). In sulfuric or hydrochloric acid, it appears purple-blue.
Applications: Mainly used for dyeing cellulose fibers, silk, nylon, and blends. Also used for paper pulp and leather coloring.
