Physicochemical Properties: Reddish-brown powder. Soluble in water (magenta), slightly soluble in ethanol (reddish-orange). In concentrated sulfuric acid, it appears orange to reddish-brown.
Applications: Dyes cellulose fibers bluish-red with good exhaustion and leveling. Suitable for direct printing. Post-treatment with fixing agent Y improves wet fastness. Also used for silk, nylon, and paper pulp.
